Ok, they say do something for 30 days in a row and it will become a habit-   Hmm wonder if that works for sex??  Ok,  I digress but I intend to post for the 30 days to get into this habit.  Hope you are enjoying this so far cause its work for me- at least learning this bloggin stuff is- talking comes 2nd nature to me.

I was jones’n for some chocolate tonight so I threw together a cake… Not a biggie I know but it has to be Gluten Free and and I only go for scratch so here is the recipe.  It started life as a normal regular flour recipe and all I have to do is use my Gluten Free flour to make it ok for me so not bad at all, as long as you have your flour mixed up ahead of time.

Buttermilk Brownies

2 cups flour                       2 cups sugar                          1/2 t. salt

Mix this together in your mixer or large bowl.

1 stick butter or oleo          1 cup water                            1/c cup cannola oil

1/4 cup cocoa

In saucepan bring these items to a boil and add to the dry mix, beat well, then add

1/2 cup buttermilk              2 eggs                1 t. soda           1t. vanilla

in the order listed, beat for about 1 minute – now you can stop here or like I did tonight I added 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (because I did not have quite enough cocoa)

Pour batter into a Pam’d large jelly roll pan and bake for about 25 minutes at 400 degrees

or till done.

Now after you bake this you may say well its great but its more like a sheet cake than brownies and you would be right but the recipe was named brownies…..

Now I don’t always frost this cake – it is yummy and moist just the way it is- UP TO YOU.
